1 Corinthians 13:6 (NKJV)

does not rejoice in iniquity

You should not find joy when someone sins, fails, or stumbles. Someone else’s downfall should not make you happy. There should be some sadness in your heart, not gladness. As a Christ-like individual, your first instinct should be to pray for them and ask God to move in their life.

Journal Prompt: Write a commitment to choose prayer, compassion, and love when encountering someone’s failure instead of judgment or joy in their missteps.
